Peki’in, Uncovering Ancient Jewish Heritage
The “Treasures of the Galilee” Project led to the renewed uncovering and media exposure of the ancient Synagogue in Peki'in, as well as the story of Margalit Zinati, the Jewish “flame-keeper” in Peki'in, whose house has become a museum where she puts on a performance that conveys the story of the Jewish community in Peki'in.

Activities Intended for Bringing Acre to the Public’s Attention
“Selichot” Tours (special Jewish prayers), Ramadan tours, culinary tours, international choir festivals, tours and activities designed for the entire family.
In order to bring Acre to the public’s attention, “Selichot” Tours were conducted in the City during the Tishrei holidays, and Ramadan tours during the month of Ramadan. Likewise, Selichot” Tours were conducted in Peki'in.
Over the years, culinary tours were conducted and weekends intended for the entire family were offered, including: activities, trips, attractions and accommodations for any budget and for everyone. Furthermore, music weekends were held, during which an international choir festival was conducted, comprising choirs from Israel and from abroad. The concerts took place in natural and historical sites.

International team of chefs in Acre
The City of Acre received special exposure, the Project’s team traversed the length and breadth of Acre, added tourist sites in the City to the Project, visited each and every zimmer (BB) and each and every hotel and those that deemed worthy, were added to the Project. Likewise regarding restaurants, from falafel and hummus stands to fine-dining restaurants.
Moreover, the Project initiated the arrival of a team of first-class international chefs to Acre, knowing that tourists are seeking experiences through food and that culinary tourism holds a substantial share of tourism throughout the world.

The Bicycle Tour that took place in 2018, left the borders of Italy for the first time and arrived in Israel. Great efforts were made in order to divert the planned route so that the cyclists would reach the Western Galilee and Acre, efforts that succeeded beyond expectations.

During the winter, when tourism weakened and there was hardly any demand for accommodations in the guest houses, the “Treasures of the Galilee" Project initiated a campaign called “Up to NIS 500”, in which guest houses nd accommodation was offered at prices that were sometimes about 50% lower than the usual prices. The campaign was carried out with the full cooperation of the guest house owners and it was very successful.

Uncovering Multiculturalism in the Western Galilee
The relations between people of different nations and ethnic groups who live in the Western Galilee are of the utmost importance for Raya and the “Treasures of the Galilee" team.
The team took action and revealed Arab al-Aramshe, a settlement that resides beside the border barrier, to a tourism boom, when it was introduced to journalists and members of the media by the team, which also brought buses full of tourists and opinion makers to the place.
A tremendous tailwind was awarded to the following Druze settlements: Hurfeish, Beitegen, Julis, Yarka and Yanuh-Jat. This is how home cooks who host in their homes were revealed, restaurants and guest houses . the lace embroidering project was exposed in Hurfeish. The Christian settlements Mi'ilya and Tarshiha also received a push forward and assistance, whereby Mi'ilya, where an ancient 400-year-old olive press exists as well as an ancient tobacco factory and the remains of the King's Fortress, tailors itself as an appropriate tourist alternative to the city of Nazareth during the Christmas season.

The following were made available to tourism entrepreneurs who were accepted to the "Treasures of the Galilee" Project: a computer studies course, lectures regarding budgets that were held by banking experts and consultants, training intended for business and cash flow management, and likewise they had an interior designer and gardener at their disposal as well as public relations and marketing firms. All these with the purpose of providing the entrepreneurs with as many tools as possible in order to attain success in their businesses.
In order to form and encourage connections between the entrepreneurs, conferences were held so as to enable acquaintances and collaborations.

Transport to “Nahal Kziv” (Kziv Stream)
Organizing transport to the Kziv Stream, which until recently, could only be reached by foot while the road was designed for fit hikers. The transports operated (at first free of charge and later for a nominal fee) during “Chol Hamoed” (the intermediate period) of Sukkot and Passover, and they enabled each and every one to reach the magnificent stream and hike along it to Ein Tamir, and even as far as the Monfort Fortress. Families with young and older children as well as people with disabilities were also able to reach the stream and paddle their feet in the water. Presently, the transport organization to the Kziv Stream operates in cooperation with the Western Galilee Drainage and Rivers Authority, the "Treasures of the Galilee" Project and the Israel Nature and Parks Authority.

Bringing the Western Galilee to the Public’s Attention
In order to bring the Western Galilee to the attention of the general public, press tours and influencer tours have been organized throughout the Western Galilee, in tourist sites and tourism businesses. The journalists and influencers were hosted at restaurants, guest houses, at diverse attractions, they strolled through the spectacular hiking trails and brought what they experienced to the public’s attention, through newspapers and magazines, the internet and television.

The Israeli Opera in the Knights’ Halls in Acre
In order to drag the Opera from its residence in Tel-Aviv and enable an experience that is greater than merely watching Opera, the “Treasures of the Galilee” Project initiated the arrival of the Israeli Opera to a series of performances in the Knights' Halls in Acre. These performances were a huge success when people from all over the country came to the opera festival in Acre, which lasted several days. As a result, the entire region had benefitted: the guest houses hotels, restaurants, attractions and tour guides.

Contador and the “Saxo Bank” Team were invited to train in the Western Galilee and be guests at the inauguration of the “Treasures of the Galilee” Project.
