They became farmers and grew various field crops. In addition, two cows grazed on their property. Over time, the number of cows increased and the milk yield increased with them. The girl, whose name was known as an excellent cook, began to produce various dairy products from the excess milk, which the Strauss couple sold along with the crops of the field to the residents of Nahariya and the British soldiers in the area.
